SILICA REACTIVATION

Silica gel beads are orange in colour when active (dry). When used as dessicant, the gel beads will gradually change colour from orange to green. Once the gel beads turn green they are no longer active and must be heated to remove the accumulated moisture using a conventional oven at 120°C for 3 hours (do not microwave). Avoid overheating while drying. When the gel beads colour returns to orange, the canister is ready to be reused.
